Strictly speaking this is not about a plant. I thought it was pretty cool and wanted to share it.

some of the crystals are sharp enough to puncture skin.

Rain got into a container of 30-10-10 liquid fertilizer. It sat undisturbed for 4? years.

the hollow space in the middle is where a measuring scoop was.  
Has anyone else seen this?

That's probably copper sulfate. It dissolves really easily and can get into humid air
