# Needed to make some extra money, mainly to justify buying more plants…

Needed to make some extra money, mainly to justify buying more plants when I'm on a really tight budget. Lol. Just put it out yesterday and put it on the local Facebook pages but no luck. Of course I live on a dead end street so that doesn't help. Any advice? I did try Facebook marketplace first but got no hits.

My kid and I propagate all spring and summer and he has a big plant sale at the end. We put it out there on FB to all the local plant groups and make some serious signage. I let him run things and he does pretty well! Maybe let them grow a little bigger then hype up the sale on FB and Nextdoor?

Advertise on OfferUp to get locals in or near your town to see it. Add shipping costs to get people outside your locality (like me) to buy online. I am too ashamed to state the number of plants I have bought through OfferUp from growers in Southern California and I live on the Texas gulf coast!😆 Their succulent and hoya patio grown plants are stunning! I benefit from the reduced prices compared to Etsy. Just change the OfferUp location to any major city in Southern California to see the plants offered up for shipping.

Remember to show a couple of pictures of each plant to catch the interest of online buyers. Good luck with the sales!🍀🪴
