Is there a difference between peat and Sphagnum moss? Will peat moss work on a moss pole? Im trying to make a moss pole for my pothos

i prefer sphagnum for my moss poles

It’s rare to find peat moss used in a DIY pole. It might hold too much water. I’m not sure. Sphagnum moss or coco coir are more popular. 🪴🍀

Peat moss is no good for poles.
