Heyy! I just got this panda plant and I put it in a panda pot! I dunked it in fertilizer water because I heard that reduces the trauma of switching pots but one leaf fell off so I put it in the soil in the pot to grow a new sprout. I was just wondering if there’s a specific way to water it or anything I should be doing to keep my new baby healthy? (I painted the pot myself!)

I forgot to add that I didn’t dunk the leaves in the fertilizer water and just the roots and soil.

Sometimes just bumping this plant will knock off a leaf. For care, it’s the usual succulent care, except they don’t need direct sun, but morning is ok. Check the soil if you just got it. Nursery soil is usually not the best. They need fast draining soil that needs to be totally dry before watering. I also check the leaves. They become less plump and feel a little more rubbery when needing water. I put three different pandas into the same pot-regular, white snow and a chocolate.

Still a young panda when I saw this plant 🌱 I fell in love instantly. What I will try to do is birth more of these if I can. I currently have a leaf that fell when I transplanted it and it’s sitting in a pot waiting to root and be planted hopefully it works. Your panda looks good keep at and definitely do what was suggested in the comments. It does a dry soil and a one time soak once first transplanted. Keep trusting yourself and keep at it. You got this.💯🙏🏽

Thank you so much!! If u wanna make it I just used an old soup can (i cleaned it first) then painted it with multiple coats and used sharpies and markers and then used a paint sealer. ❤️❤️❤️
