That is a ctenanthe lubbersiana. Gorgeous plant, but it is a pest magnet. I tried to treat mine, but was unsuccessful. Both died. I had gotten them clearance from HD, and I think they were all clearance because they were probably all infested. I was a newbie and didnt know any better. 😆

I’m referring to the “node” that looks like a new section of the plant. Almost like you could cut it off for propagation.

that is indeed a node! you can cut right above or right below it, and propagate a piece of the plant. most plants will often put out two new stems after being trimmed, but i'm not familiar with this one
