Is this a fungus? Can I do anything to help it?

EDIT: Tried to clear it away and it was cobwebby.

It seems otherwise to be doing ok!

I think these are mealy bugs! Move it away from other plants immediately and I would treat it with neem oil!

It’s not near any plants and it’s not new so who knows how this happened! I’ll look them up now!

Mealy bugs are the WORST. I don’t know how they get in either, it’s like they have a teleporter. Be ruthless with whatever treatment you choose—neem oil is a good one.

I know a succulent I have has that naturally in the same spot, so maybe your succulent is the same? I panicked too but apparently it’s normal.

I spray isopropyl alcohol on them and if they turn red when squished then you know it’s definitely mealy bugs

I do this too. I first rise off the leaves under the tap then spray the shit out of them with isopropyl and wipe with cotton pads then spray with neem oil. Repeat every couple days until they are gone.

Oh and don’t forget to isolate your plant from others so they don’t spread!
