# This prayer plant is one of the first plants I got. Before I knew any…

This prayer plant is one of the first plants I got. Before I knew any better, I thought it would be a good idea to plant it directly in its ceramic pot. Now I worry about how I will know when it needs to be repotted and how to do so without hurting the plant. Any thoughts?

I feel like it becomes clear it’s too big for its pot. Maybe not pushing out more leaves. Maybe being thirstier. Maybe too full. That’s how I tell with mine that are in pots.

I’m wondering if it would be a bad idea to move it to a plastic inner pot anyway. I worry that the plant will be much more difficult to get out of this pot once the roots are taking over.
