What do you guys use to water plants?
I have always used tab! I have heard that it can harm your plants in the long run. I live out in the country so I don’t know if my tab water is truly different.
Thoughts?

TLDR: We have a faucet filter for our kitchen sink; I use the filtered water for my plants.

Extended edition: My experience is with a public water system in the United States; if you're on a public water system, it's a law for them to provide you a Consumer Confidence Report if you request it. It's the results of recent water testing and you can use it to determine if there's anything in your tap water that you don't want in your body/plants.
From there: your water is good and you're super lucky. Or your water has high levels of something you don't like and you have to find a filter that fits your needs and removes whatever contaminants you want (I filter for chlorine, among other things).
Do remember though, nothing is perfect and the filter won't remove 100% of the contaminants (my filtered water still has enough chlorine to irritate freshwater snails). So if you see something that you 100% aren't comfortable drinking, you may need to find a different water source (we have friends that had to buy 5 gallon jugs of water for a while when they lived in a place with bad water quality)

I use tap water, the only plants I use bottled spring water on are my air plants. I only have 2 so it isn’t expensive to do \& they seem perkier since the switch.
However, I’ve noticed 0 issues with my other plants having tap water.
I think it’s more of an issue of the type of plant(s) \& quality of the tap water than a hard and fast rule. I only purchase “easy” plants and my tap water quality is good.

I use the water from my dehumidifier!

For most plants, I’ve always read that local tap water is fine. And for many plants it’s not the chloramine they don’t like, it’s certain minerals, especially lime. And also from research, most water systems use chloramine not chlorine. And chloramine does not evaporate out when left standing overnight. I say all this but I don’t use tap water. Our local tap is fine but we have an RO system which is pretty much the same as distilled water. I use that on all of the over 150 plants.

I use bottled spring water

Bottled spring water is not distilled water. Spring water contains minerals. But no chlorimine or fluoride.
