# My bonsai is losing all it’s leaves and I am panicking. I’m new to…

My bonsai is losing all it’s leaves and I am panicking. I’m new to plants and I read that this can be normal but I don’t want it to die. I just got it from Lowe’s about a week ago. It has two leaves left :(

Oh noooo. I have no tips. Sorry i just came to say you are not alone. I'm not new to plants but this happened to me too. Mine finally died. I hope yours doesn't..

I’ve had trouble with mine. I repotted it into a shallow planter with almost 100% non-organic soil. It had yellow leaves and was not growing. Planta said I was overwatering. So I cut the watering back. I also moved it to a much brighter location. It’s under a strong grow light about 16 hours a day. And it’s growing very well. In fact it now needs a trim. Mine lost several leaves in the beginning but new growth has replaced them.

Ok, I will give it more light. I did not want to move it because planta said it was the stress of changing environments but the spot I have it in it’s too dark. Thanks!
