Yes it will do so well in a bigger pot and will have more room for the roots to

I usually wait a day or two after bringing them home to repot so they have time to settle

i would wait a few days unless the soil is noticeably waterlogged or too dense

Personally, I would wait a week so it can get used to its new environment and be less stressed. Also only if it is root bound

You should wait a few days, otherwise the plant can get shocked.
