I feel you: first remove the aloe from its current pot and inspect the roots, then prune any of the dead roots… that would be any roots that are mushy, brown, black. Healthy roots are white and/or green. Then rinse the roots after that, allow the aloe to dry, then repot in a fresh out in some well draining soil and wait to water. Also, take out of direct light. Give it some fertilizer as well

Okay! I’ll check the new post to see how everything is going! After you have done all those steps, keep the aloe Vera in some shade for a while… and water as soon as the top few centimeters of compost dry out between waterings. I would also prune it… cut every single stem down.

Or you could dry separating every single stem and propagate them to see if this has a better chance… you know what? I would actually take one of the stems that looks the healthiest, and (don’t cut) but pull it out of the soil and pull it away from the bigger plant until you are holding the one stem…. Get a vase, or jar large enough to hold the aloe, and cover the top of the jar with plastic wrap. Then cut a hole in the plastic wrap at the top, wide enough for the stem to fit through, but tight enough it doesn’t fall all the way through, keep in some shade, but sunny place, and wait for roots to grow! With the rest of the plant that you have, do all the steps I listed above. This way, but propagating one stem, and trying to start over with the rest of the plant, you have a 50-50% chance of getting your aloe to be healthy again. If the propagation doesn’t work, you still have the whole other plant trying to revive itself. If the bigger plant can revive, you can still count on the propagation to work! I’m sorry if this doesn’t make sense, but good luck! 🍀

Thank you! It does make sense. Also, would this work on other dead plants? I have a few dead ones that i think i might be able to revive, but they arent aloe.
