# Quick question about Planta. Sometimes I’ll water and then a day or…

Quick question about Planta. Sometimes I’ll water and then a day or two later the same plant pops up saying it needs liquid fertilizer. Do you generally just wait until the next time it needs water and then also give it the fertilizer then?

Just make sure roots aren’t dry when fertilizing. Happy planting

I will water again with fertilizer but I’m an underwaterer so I’m usually a few days late on watering 😅

It's a glitch with the app. I look at the last thing I watered with and go from there. I go to the plant and add that I watered or fertilized from the plant profile when it does this and don't click on the checked off to do item. I'll do it from the bottom corner in the plant profile and this always seems to correct the schedule algorithm this way.

I only do this on plants that are days late for watering or fertilizing. It's best to snooze the reminder on the day it tells you and this adjusts the schedule as well. But when you get the red bubble that says 5 days late or whatever, go to the plant profile and mark that you watered from there.
