# I recently got this this string of pearls plant I want to let her…

I recently got this this string of pearls plant I want to let her readjust to my house but I also want to repot her into some cactus/succulent soil mix as she’s in some regular potting soil at the moment. I’m also so scared to repot her because she looks so delicate! Any advice appreciated!! :)

if the soil isn't wet, i say wait, but if the soil is dripping it needs repotting. shock is a lot easier to deal with than root rot

I haven’t watered it since I got her! The soil is dry. I just want her to adjust to the light in my room (bright east facing window) which is probably a lot different the huge greenhouse she came from. I’m wondering when would be the best time to change her soil. Next time she needs to get watered?

yes, next watering is ideal. repot it dry and then water to settle the roots in the mix

Beautiful plant! I’ve been seriously delaying a move from nursery plant to a more gritty medium and permanent home but I’m also intimidated by how delicate she seems to be 😅
