I have this fish tank set up to be a bog for some (mostly carnivorous) native plants, however I’m waiting on the plants still. In the meantime the sphagnum moss I used in here has come back to life, and now there’s also a ton of small plants growing in there. Does anybody have any ideas what these “weeds” growing in here are? Also if anybody has recommendations to get the old white staining off the glass that won’t ruin the silicone on the edge, I’ve tried scrubbing with terrarium cleaners from the pet store.

The “weeds” look like some sort of grass, I get this a lot when I put fresh moss in my isopod terrarium.

That’s what I thought too since I know the sphagnum was wild harvested, however I boiled it all first thinking that would’ve gotten rid of any hitchhikers.

White vinegar to remove the hard water stains, spray on a cloth or paper towels and wipe. Try not to get it on the plants/dripped into the bog water. You add carbon at the bottom?

Agree. No fish tank experience here. My reaction to reading post was, vinegar removes scale from glass in shower…
