# Hi! Does anyone have any ideas why an African violet does not hold up…

Hi!  
Does anyone have any ideas why an African violet does not hold up their flowers?

I have it in a green house cabinet, and it does have a fan in there.

The flowers are coming out. They will come up more when it fully blooms.  
The ones on the left just opened when I took the picture. Now they are in up right position like the others.

Hmm, yeah I’m not sure about that. I’ve had consistent blooms on this African violet and they never stand up, it’s gone through several bloom cycles with the flowers just laying on the leaves. So I know that it’s not just an immature bloom thing.

Not enough light or fertilizer?

My mom keeps hers in a north facing window and waters when they are pretty dry. She’s had the mother plant for almost 22 years and lots of babies from that plant. They all bloom regularly. So maybe finding the perfect amount of light will help.
