# My MIL just gifted me her shamrock plant. I have no idea what to do…

My MIL just gifted me her shamrock plant. I have no idea what to do with/for it. It is long and leggy and some of the leaves are starting to wither.  
\*\*What type of soil should it have? (I’m 100% sure my MIL bought it and has never repotted it).  
\*\*Should I repot it soon? (She just gave it to my hubby today to give to me).  
\*\*What type of light should it have? (Full sun, shade, etc.).

I know I could look all this up online but this is the place I go to first.

I have mine on my north facing patio, potted in regular potting soil. I follow the watering and fertilizing schedule suggested by the app and she’s thriving.

I let it dry out between watering
