You did great letting them callous over first! Just keep it in a warm, bright spot (but not direct sun yet), and go easy on the watering until roots develop. Looks like a strong cutting—fingers crossed!

I’m going to be at bit of a buzz kill….

Aloes actually have nodes. They are hidden in the layers under the base of leaves on the stem of the plant. In order for your plant to put out new pups or growth it needs to have a node.

BUT! Your cuttings should grow roots and sustain themselves as is :) Its just extremely unlikely they will ever produce new growth.

Are you talking about the yellow part because 3 have that where it grow from the bottom at and 1 was cut by scissors. I’m try 2 different ways of trying to grow them.

Sorry, I don’t quite understand what you’re describing with the “yellow part”.

Nodes are on this part of the plant. Unless you’ve got a portion of the main stalk under the soil you won’t have nodes on your cuttings.

The part on the end there that’s yellow/white it’s still on my leafs on 3 of them and 1 is cut with scissors. I wanting to grow it but also was experimenting with it to see which one grew and which one didn’t grow. In a way Google is telling me that since I cut it with scissors, it should grow as long as it calloused over. But I didn’t wanna take the chance of it not so I did it both ways.

I have 4 these 2 and 2 others just like it. I only gave them like a tablespoon of water today after planting them.
