hi all! any suggestions on how to water most effectively? i've been told majesty palms are pretty finicky \& i just got this and haven't watered it yet and am afraid 🫣

I’ve heard majesty palms like to have their soil be about 50% dry before watering. I like to use the baking method- just stick a chopstick or anything along those lines 1/2 way down in the soil. If it comes out dry then it’s ready to be watered! Better to err on the side of underwatering IMO. Having good drainage will help too.

Also, majesty palms are a little finicky when it comes to hard tap water, so might want to err on the side of caution and get some water conditioning drops
