Osmocote has a coating on it so that it releases slower than fertilizer sticks, which don't have the coating on them.

Yes, I know. I’m referring to the attached image. What the app is calling sticks. I’m wondering why slow release pellets aren’t an option seeing how it’s been around for decades.
