First off, does anyone know what type of plant this is? It was a cutting given to me.

Second, what size of pot should I plant this cutting in? The person who gave it to me showed me her full grown plant, and it was pretty big, so I know these things can definitely grow pretty large.

looks like an umbrella tree

Yep, am umbrella tree! I love mine, and it really thrives with a humidifier nearby. It looks like yours would be good in a 5”-6” pot. Use tropical soil.

Do you know how long it took to root in water please? I have a cutting too

No, sorry! It was given to me with roots already

always put a plant in a pot that’s just 1-2” bigger than the rootball. yes, the plant can grow pretty big but if you put any plant in a pot that’s too big, it will suffer. its hard to tell from the pic but perhaps a 4” pot might be good to start with. you can always get a deeper 4” pot to accommodate the large stem.
