Using a smaller pot will allow the plant to use up the water in the soil before the roots rot. Add perlite and orchid bark chips for better drainage and to create more air flow in the soil. Ensure the pot has lots of drain holes. Give the plant sufficient light or add a grow light. Fertilize at least once a month. 🪴🍀
