What do we know about this guy?? A coworker inherited it from a coworker who retired. Not even sure what it is! We assume we need to cut off some bottom leaves because they have brown spots. The top growth is all strong and green!

According to Planta it's a corn plant.

Yup, dracaena or corn 🌽 plant. Those bottom leaves will peel off leaving a bit of a stalk at the bottom. I hesitated to remove some damaged leaves from mine but was happy with the result.
