I wonder if I close the blinds in the afternoon so it's more of like a medium indirect light

My answer is no.

Depending on where you are (northern/southern hemisphere), the sun this time of year is not as aggressive as summer (northern hemisphere). So even though it’s getting more direct light, the light is gentler.
