Recommendations needed!!

My mom had this plant (I believe it’s a dragon tree) and completely neglected it for almost a year. She gave it to me to try to revive it, so I gave it fresh soil as the old soil was molding. My cats got to it and chewed most of the leaves that were still healthy or just sprouting, so it looks really rough! I’m wondering if I should just trim the chewed leaves and keep waiting to see what happens, or if I should clip the stem and propagate/start over? I’m fairly new to owning plants and I’ve certainly not tried to revive one!

Also, my cats are fine🤪

I got advice on here about a week ago for the same plant and the same problem 😂 What do cats have against a dragon tree?!? If they think mine will come back from it, yours DEFINITELY will! Just trim the frayed edges up!

Too funny!! I have two of these and my cats are obsessed with both- I actually started researching whether or not cats are attracted to them because they leave all my other plants alone😂 thank you for the advice!

Thankfully the 1 out of 6 of these that mine has chewed is the only one on a surface she occasionally gets on. She left it alone forever, then bam. Down to two leaves. Lol
