# calling all anthurium lovers! i would love to get into anthuriums but…

calling all anthurium lovers! i would love to get into anthuriums but don't know where to start... any recommendations for my 1st variety or essential supplies? i'd like one that's not too hard to take care of :) thanks! (photo for attention)

It really depends on your conditions. But overall the magnificum (and crosses) along with luxurian x radican have been really forgiving. They also size up nicely.  
Below is my magnificum. (For size reference, that’s a 6" pot)

Here is the luxurian x radican. The leaf texture is interesting and the latest is about 10" in length.

For both of those, they have grown in 40-60% humidity under grow light.  
One thing to keep in mind is that they don’t like to be root bound as much as other indoor plants.

Clarinervium is a good starter anthurium. They look like your sample photo. 😊 IME they don’t need more than window light and average humidity.
