I’ve been drilling drain holes into Goodwill purchases for a few years now. Just get the technique down. I place painters tape over the drilling spot. Keeps the bit from moving around as you start the hole. Wear goggles. Spray a little water on the spot your drilling to keep the heat down.

My husband did this for me yesterday. Question though, how many holes do you think is sufficient? He did one and it seems to drain well. I’m so use to nursery pot drainage.

One should be sufficient but it’s not like multiple hurts anything either.

If larger pot, I just use larger drill bit. I’ve only done multiples a couple times.
