I wouldn’t water everyday or else it’ll get root rot ! These plants like distilled water and not regular sink water , I would say water when the soil is dry, they like humidity a lot as well !

Like others said, only used distilled water when you water. Water until the excess water comes through the drainage holes at the bottom. Some people suggest misting, but make sure there isn’t standing water on the leaves. I find that my prayer plants never like their soil to completely dry out between waterings, but you shouldn’t water every day. Root rot is caused when water or densely packed soil prevents oxygen from reaching the roots. Best of luck with the plant! The most important thing is keeping a balance in its environment. Find where it is happy then keep it that way

Looks like you’re getting some good advice here! As a general rule of thumb, whatever you set out to make your watering schedule, you must check the soil every time you water! That way you base your watering on the directly-observed needs of your plant! ☺️

I have one that is really thriving. I only give her rain water and I use a moisture meter- they don’t like to dry out in between watering

I’ve learned the best way for me to know when my calatheas- a Maui queen and a Dottie- are ready for water is when they just start to curl their leaves inward, like taquitos lol. Similar to this pic (not mine)

I honestly love a good self watering pot. Amazon has a great selection! Since they like to not dry out in between waterings I have one and once it’s empty I wait one day before I refill it. It’s been very happy and hasn’t given me crispy leaves or curling!

I water when mine are 1/2-2/3 dry and all of mine are thriving.
