This guy is soon gonna hit my ceiling. One of my favorites I named after a former student who was murdered a few years ago. Ethan was a basketball player and pretty tall, so I am happy with every inch his namesake grows.

My Orchids are going absolutely crazy this year! My large white one has 35 flowers now and is still pushing out more! ❤️

Orchids have become my new obsession, I love all my plants but orchids are my favorite flower so mine always makes me so happy, what is your secret! I only got 3 flowers this last time

Mine too! I love all my plants so much but these just make me feel like I know what I’m doing lol. I have them all in a glass jar with sphagnum moss, bark, and a tiny bit of dirt at the very bottom. Since there’s no drainage I’m just cautious of how much water I put in there and how often. They are facing West. The glass makes it easy to check on the roots too. I’ve had them like this for 3 years now, except the one on the right, that was a rescue orchid I got last year who blessed me with a Keiki this year (very first time, didn’t even know that was a thing)

Everything I ever read about them says to make sure there’s drainage or else certain doom but mine have just gotten bigger and better every year doing this. 🤞

That sounds like a wonderful set up! I keep mine in well draining bark but I feel like it makes water pool at the bottom and water logs the bottom roots so I never let her sit, which is probably lowering the actual amount of water she is getting, I may have to rethink some of this lol thank you!!
