I only have two healthy stems on this red leaf. The other two look very much dead. How do I get more stems? Do I need to propagate the healthy ones?

These are my fave plants to propagate!! Before you start chopping though, I do recommend letting the healthy ones fill out a bit more. Tons of bright (indirect) sun and gently pinching off new growth from the tops will help encourage new growth on the lower part of the stem.

Also in case you’ve never propped these before I strongly recommend chopping a couple hours after you water them since they’re so thirsty. That way you’ve got nice hydrated leaves and stem to work with.
