# Random post here! Have any of you bought plants off Facebook…

Random post here! Have any of you bought plants off Facebook marketplace? I have been looking into purchasing a few, but it's a little hard since I need some sellers who live close by... Anyone selling any plants near Rosevalley? (In West Kelowna, BC) TIA.

One last question, anyone know if their are gonna be any plant swaps soon somewhat near me?

I believe you can choose that you only see items that are within a chosen mile range.

I bought a cactus last summer and im buying a hoya tomorrow! (Both from Facebook market place). The first purchase did have some gnats, so just be careful when you bring home new plants. I always look up the plants and see if its a decent price. But overall so far, including my non plant purchases, I think i had an overall good experience with buying. Hopefully you have good experiences as well

Facebook Marketplace is hit or miss. You can’t make a judgement based on others experience here. You need to check out the sellers you are considering. And you can narrow your searches down to miles from your home. It’s all under the settings.

I have indeed. I’ve even just randomly messaged people and been like “hey I have that plant but mine looks awful. What do you think?” 😆

Just like any other garage sale, offer up, or eBay or whatever, some people are great, and some people aren’t.

But a lot of people move and can’t take their plants and so then you can hit the mother load.
