# Hello! I am going away for 2 weeks next month and am already worried…

Hello! I am going away for 2 weeks next month and am already worried about how some of my plants will be okay haha. I have nobody in my area who could come water them for me so Im looking for another solution. Has anyone had any experience with machines like this?? Its an "automatic drip irrigation kit". Or have any other recommendations?

Never used it but looks like it would not work for long without breaking but it could be good

Yeah its pretty cheap but really I just need it for the couple weeks i'm gone. Definitely wouldn't trust it more than just watering my plants myself when Im back home!!

Ok u can see if it works it might just make sure that you’re OK if it stops working while you’re gone because there’s always a possibility that it could work for a few days while you’re gone and then just not work.

Depends on what plants you need to water during that period of their cacti they are fine if it’s a tropical plant it might work

I’ve had amazing success with watering bulbs!! Put at least one in all the plants that you would normally water while you’re away, and 2-3 for the extra thirsty ones. You can do a trial run while you’re still home to see how long the water in the bulbs lasts to help you figure out how many each plant will need.

Pro tip: poke a hole in the soil before you put it in so it doesn’t clog :)

These work pretty well. I’ve used them for vacation trips and for keeping the water bowl beneath the Christmas tree topped off over the holidays 😂 You’ll just need to test the setup before you leave to make sure it’s not overwatering your plants. Assuming your plants are tropicals and you water before you trip, you’ll only need one extra watering to hold your plants over until you get back. I got this one for 15 bucks on FB market place.
