Alocasia wentii, also known as the New Guinea Shield or Hardy Elephant Ear?

#### MTA324 svarede den 2025-11-08

I’m unsure. The stems are almost black.

#### Lex svarede den 2025-11-08

Their stems can be darkly colored like that!

It could be Alocasia Macrorrhizos (Black stem). They get very large with dark leaf stems. 🪴🍀

Got any other pics, looks like Alocasia dark star to me

#### Tom svarede den 2025-11-08

#### MTA324 svarede den 2025-11-08

So the veins are same color as dark star, but there are more of them and branch opposite each other, yours has less and spread out more so most likely Macrorrhiza 'Black Stem'. Picture of mine is the dark star with more veins and opposite each other
