I have 40 plants and the only one I have ever killed is 2 Dieffenbachias. How do you care for them. Please and thanks

Hi! I water it probably about once every 2ish weeks. I kinda dig my finger in and water it when the soil is dry as far as my digit. Every other watering I use dynagrow fertilizer while it’s warm outside. I also have to keep most of my plants in the basement so I have a grow light on them 14 hrs a day.
