Hi y’all, I have a question regarding my Alocasia. She’s doing amazing now and has definitely grown after I brought it back from its deathbed in May. I noticed that one of the leaves is starting to droop and I recently cut off one that was the initial leaf I had in the beginning a week or so ago for this exact reason. I’ll show some pics of the roots but I’m wondering if it’s needing to be re-potted. What do yall think and have any recommendations? I found this set up has worked the best for her.

Once the roots start to grow back upwards and fill in then I would repot! For the mean time if there’s no drainage hole be extraaaaa careful! These plants are beautiful:)

I would maybe repot, not for room but for drainage

they just do that sometimes 🤷‍♂️ i think it's to make room for more growth. if the leaf looks healthy, don't cut it! cutting healthy leaves slows growth.

i agree with the other commenter, it needs more drainage. all alocasias are prone to root rot.

I plan on changing the pot. That’s why I have rocks at the bottom that I’ve also been using for humidity. Seems to be working well for the past few months.

Makes sense cause it is starting to grow a new leaf
