Made the decision to chop my pole down today. Nothing was wrong with it, I just changed my mind on what I wanted for this plant.  
That’s the fun part of this hobby, there’s so much you can do with plants.

Wow!! I just propagated this from a dying version I had given too much sun, and the propagations are doing well. Yours looks so healthy, what kind of light does it get?
