# Hey guys! I’m curious… I’ve had this lady (Queen of the Night) for…

Hey guys! I’m curious… I’ve had this lady (Queen of the Night) for about 2 years now and she just recently bloomed about a month ago. Of course I didn’t catch it, just woke up one morning to a dead flower ☹️ BUT!! She looks like she’s going to bloom again? I thought they were only supposed to bloom one night out of the year. Has anyone else had their Queen of the Night bloom more than once?

Ps. I know she looks real sun stressed but she’s so happy! I have another that is primarily indoors and it’s so much smaller, they were bought at the same time.

They can bloom several times in the growing seasons. Blooming once a year is a myth. 😁 My two very old plants bloom when the spirit takes them. The photo is a bloom that was still fully open at 7am like it came late to the party. It’s about 12 inches wide. I don’t fuss over them. I will fertilize once a year and add cow manure on top of the soil each spring. They sun stress beautifully.

I don’t water for about three weeks. Then, I water and fertilize with liquid fertilizer regularly to force it to bloom. This method works most of the time since the plants are large, about 4 feet.

Thanks for the info Sunny! The blooms are gorgeous!!! Really hoping I catch this one. She really just gets rain water, I don’t mess with her much at all.

Your plant is beautiful! That pink 😍

Try giving her some diluted fertilizer or go organic and manure on top of the soil.

I have a 5’ tall Queen about 7 years old and she blooms several times a year from June to October (I’m in Dallas). Usually between 2-3AM (I set an alarm, sleepwalk out there and take pics, go back to bed. The scent is heavenly tho!) Some varieties only bloom once a year but lucky us we got the good ones. 🤩 Mine has 6 buds on it right now. So yours looks good; keep on keeping on!

Beautiful blooms. I’m on the Texas gulf coast. So, humidity is high which helps.

I noticed these buds yesterday! It didn’t bloom last night. Does anyone know how long until it blooms after the blood appear?
