# I recently got this albo syngonium at my local plant shop for 24…

I recently got this albo syngonium at my local plant shop for 24 dollars and it came with a white knight philodendron. Just want to know when I should try to separate them or if I should at all. Any tips and tricks please!! And yes I bought her with multiple full white leaves! 5 to be exact!

The only thing I’m worried about with keeping them together is suffocating them

They have commonalities being climbing vines. So, they both mature while climbing a pole. They both thrive in bright indirect light. I would separate them because of their watering needs. You can water the philodendron more frequently by watering after one inch of the soil is dry. I found the syngonium albo likes the soil to completely or mostly dry out between watering to prevent overwatering. The growth rate of the syngonium is much faster. The root system could take in more water leaving insufficient water for the philodendron. I recommend watching it for a few weeks or months to see if you can provide a good balance of watering that makes both plants happy if you decide to keep them together. 🪴🍀
