What do you need help with?

Isn’t it root bound? Can I cut the roots? It’s so hard and it’s not getting any water inside.

#### Miranda replied on 2024-05-17

I mean ya you can try to cut it to detangle but like what iris says it depends on if the plants like being root bound. Is the plant overall healthy or is it showing signs that something is wrong?

It is not getting any water into the roots and was dry 2 days after a watering. The app said more fertilizer and when I removed it I found this, I tried to research and got root bound.

It makes me sick to my stomach but I did cut a bit of the smaller ones, I avoided all major roots I saw and then just tried to massage them out. I left it 90% in tact. I changed the moisture this morning and it’s still dry or low moisture in the middle.

I’m still open to any solutions - should I take it to a nursery? Do they do that?

I think you have multiple options on this. You can just put it in a slightly bigger pot. You can cut some of the roots off if you want, but I think you could just put it in a bigger pot would be easier the rest of the plant looking just fine?

I think you’re making things more complicated than they need to be. Repot into a pot a few (no more than 3) inches bigger, loosen the rootball and bottom water when you’re done

Thank you for saying that! I definitely felt like I was over thinking it but I’m out of scope with plants, trying to learn 🥲 button watering is a great idea. I did the rest so praying for the best for her!
