Hi there! I am a beginner and new to the plant community. I bought this gorgeous Peace Lily and I’m wondering where to place it in my house. The plant app says that I shouldn’t have it in my guest room because it’s north west facing. But when I do research on it, it says Northwest is fine. I want it to have the best potential for blooming, etc.. where do you guys put yours?

Awesome! I found that ~north facing was not enough light but this is compounded by a large tree outside. Now mine live further away from the window with dedicated grow lights but have done really well - so definitely an option if you’re set on the room!

I’m not completely set on the room, as I plan to buy more plants that are easy to take care of. Do you find grow lights to be expensive with the energy bill?

Bigger expense was the lights themselves. The tall bar was £55, and I estimate it around £5 per month to run for 14hr days. I have 3 of them. To be honest, I haven’t consciously registered a different in the energy bill.
