It’s definitely etiolated. For grow lights on succulents, I make sure the light stays on for 14-16 hours a day

You can trim the long stem if you want, then propagate so it can grow new roots

wow i usually give it the grow light overnight which is around 6hours then turn it off in the morning

so you would recommend trimming the healthy leaves so it can start fresh ? or i should continue with this one but leave the light on longer?

I wouldn’t trim the leaves. My recommendation is to propagate. You can chop the succulent off of the stem right underneath where the leaves are growing, remove the stem and old roots from the soil, and then let the top of succulent sit on top of the moist soil until it starts growing new roots.

I also recommend keeping the light on longer. Succulents do best in a south facing window, and grow lights just aren’t bright enough to simulate that. If you have access to brighter light, I recommend placing your succulent there

Plants need it to be dark overnight so I wouldn’t run the grow light during the nighttime. They rest and do a lot of important processes when it’s dark :)

Do you know what color temperature your grow light is? I have my lower light succulents, leaf propagations, and houseplants under a 5000K light. My full sun succulents are under a 6500K light and still won’t live their best, most colorful life, without going outside.

Not sure exactly what plant that is so I don’t know how much light it needs. I looked on your profile but didn’t see it. Any succulent is going to need 8-12 hours of light a day. I do 12. Also how close you have it matters. I believe the stat is every inch away decreases its effectiveness by 10%.

I had my mom put her golden sedum under a 6500K and it still didn’t start coloring up until I finally got her to put it almost touching it.

Can you add a picture from above to help us identify it if you are not quite sure what it is?

Also, I would suggest you get the lighting figured out before you “chop to prop” it so it has the best chance of making it.

It’s hard to reply on a really long comment stream like that because it keeps collapsing it and saying click to see more.🤪 So I’m just replying as a separate comment. But, I really appreciate you replying below my comment to ask me the question, because then it notifies me. 😊 Unfortunately, currently on Planta, there’s no way to go back and see a post. we have commented on without following a like or reply.

It’s hard to compare the growth because the last picture had the pink lighting behind it. It does look healthier though, looks like maybe you pulled off the dead leaves at the bottom? Are you asking about the growth that’s coming up from the dirt? That looks like maybe where a leaf fell and grew a baby plant!

Is the pink lighting in the other picture of your grow light? If so, that could be part of the problem. The plants need the full spectrum of light. So if your plant light has options, pick the one that turns on all the LEDs on your light. The pink and the white.

Also, if you have not already, set it to run at least 12 hours during the day and then be off at night. Give it a week or two, and that should help a lot. It will not straighten up, where it is already stretched and curved a little bit. But you can prevent it from stretching and curving more by fixing the lighting issue, Also, if it is getting light from one side more than the other, like in a window, turning it every other day, or every few days, will help keep the lighting even on each side, so it won’t be tempted to lean.😊
