I have three plants, a variegated umbrella tree, a moth orchid, and a rattlesnake plant, can anyone give me advice on how often i should fertilize?

Once monthly or biweekly. Start with a dilution at half of what it calls for to see how your plant fairs with the fertilizer. I recommend compost teas.
