# For those with plants in self watering pots, what is your fertilizer…

For those with plants in self watering pots, what is your fertilizer schedule?

Add fert every 2nd/3rd time you fill the reservoir?

Always have a diluted fert in the water?

Top water with fert and empty the reservoir once it’s drained through?

I fertilize directly in the soil when it’s time to refill the reservoir. So if you fertilize while watering the soil I just allow it to drain in the tray then empty the residue out then barely put that much water back in reservoir. Or I just use the miracle gro plant food and give it a few squirts in the soil then fill reservoir as usual.
