# Hello! I recently got these two calathea plants. I’ve never owned one…

Hello! I recently got these two calathea plants. I’ve never owned one before, so I am trying to figure out what light they need. Does anyone know how close I should have them to a window? Right now they are about a foot from the actual glass, and about 5 inches from the blinds. I don’t want to accidentally burn any leaves, but I also don’t want to deprive them! Any help and information about these plants would be wonderful! Thank you.

I keep mine in my window seal and it thrives

Okay thanks, I’ll experiment leaving it for a week in different spots

I’ve also seen these plants thrive in bright indirect light, a little further from the window!
