# Can anyone help with a plant ID? The app says it’s an Elephant Ear…

Can anyone help with a plant ID? The app says it’s an Elephant Ear variety but I don’t think that’s right. The leaf shape and the red veins on the underside make me think begonia of some sort, but I can’t find a begonia variety that matches. The leaves are fully green and have a silky effect. Thanks in advance!

Yeah, almost certainly a cane begonia due to the leaves and growth pattern, but I’ve no idea what species.

I was wondering if it’s a polka dot begonia that hasn’t developed its spots yet (although I’m not sure that’s how that works). Hopefully I can keep it alive long enough to find out!
