At the end of March I planted 6 raspberry canes and so far I’m not seeing any growth. I’m sure they’re growing roots and getting established but do I need to do anything? I’ve read to prune them down to 25cm but I’m not sure. Help please x

It’s the end of March now, how long ago did you plant them, where are you located, and what are the temperatures like? It’s not unusual for it to take a while before they leaf out.

Oooos meant the start of March 🤦🏼‍♀️ in the north west of England. Weathers been pretty cool and wet up until the last week or so. Im worried I’ve not done something and I can’t see where leaves would grow from 🤷🏼‍♀️. I’m new to outdoor plants lol more comfortable with my indoor jungle 😍

Don’t worry at all, if your daffodils are blooming now it’s probably still too cool. If you look closely at the canes, you’ll probably see “segments” and the leaves will start popping out between those segments. If you like, you can cut one of the canes back a bit and look inside—if the inside is dry and brown it’s just dead, if it’s white and green it’s alive and just waiting for the right moment!
