# Any idea on Sticky Stuff? My Areca Palm leaves are developing some…

Any idea on Sticky Stuff?

My Areca Palm leaves are developing some sticky stuff on it. Is this disease?

There were couple leaves that died out (not sure if it's fertilization (too much) or too much water. The rest if the palm seems ok besides the sticy stuff.

Any advise would be great

Check for spider mites/pests. Some plants make sticky stuff when they’re being eaten, some plants make sticky stuff to attract lady bugs/defenders to protect themselves from pests.
