# My snake plant finally has some new growth, but I’m afraid the…

My snake plant finally has some new growth, but I’m afraid the existing leaves may prevent it from growing much higher. Should I repot? This is a self watering pot so I can’t check drainage holes for roots 😞

Aren’t Snake plants supposed to dry out? I have one as well and that’s what I do. Am I wrong?

They can adapt. I have one in Semi hydro and it is doing great.

This is the one. It started out as a leaf cutting last year (middle lone leaf). The one on the left grew from it and early this year a second (right) popped up.

These three have been in their pot for over a year. I have another trio just like this.
