Hello everyone! I have a balcony garden and am wondering if I need to harvest the first lettuce/if it will grow back. It was. seed mixture just sort of sprinkled about. Let me know what to do!

my mom’s lettuce keeps growing back so i would say yes, i would still get a second opinion tho

does she just leaves or pretty close to the base?

she cuts them so there is like 1-3 inches of stem left

That's ready to harvest. If you let it grow without harvesting for too long, it gets very bitter and bolts. (And then you get seeds for next year)
