Say hi to Debbie Moz 🌿
My first Marimo ever, and I’m already obsessed.
She’s small, calm, and thriving at her own pace — just the reminder I needed 💚

Is it alive? Does it live in water

#### Amanda antwoordde op 2026-01-05

Yes, it’s alive 💚
It’s called a Marimo moss ball, a rare type of freshwater algae that comes from cold lakes in Japan and Northern Europe.
It grows very slowly, just a few millimeters per year.

So cute!!! How much was it

#### Amanda antwoordde op 2026-01-05

It was a gift, and it came in a package of 2 (the person that gifted it to me stayed with the other one). It was like $15 for 2 baby mosses (each about 1”).
