# I got this plant (I think it’s a blushing philodendron?) from Target…

I got this plant (I think it’s a blushing philodendron?) from Target and after about 2 weeks I checked the roots and they are brown. Now sitting in water the leaves are yellowing. Please help me!

Some roots are brown naturally as long as they're not mushy it's probably okay.

if the roots are mushy i'm afraid you need to cut them all off, as it's root rot. take the healthiest stem and separate it from the bulb, then put it in a new pot with clean water. propagation looks like your only option here unfortunately
